Brandon James Cornejo was raised in Chesterfield, Virginia, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep interest in history, law, and public service. He began his academic journey at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, graduating cum laude with an Associate's degree in Social Science. He then continued his education at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning his Bachelor's degree in History, also cum laude, further sharpening his analytical and research skills.
He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he built a strong foundation in legal advocacy and practical experience across multiple areas of law.
Brandon has a diverse professional background that spans several legal fields. He began his legal career in criminal defense at the Martinsville Public Defender's Office, where he advocated for clients and gained valuable courtroom experience. He later worked in debt collection law with Turnbull Law Group, developing insight into financial litigation and creditor-debtor matters. He also practiced family law at Melone Hatley, where he handled sensitive matters involving custody, divorce, and domestic relations, always prioritizing client support during challenging times.
Brandon has been licensed to practice law in Virginia since 2022. His broad legal experience allows him to approach each case with a well-rounded perspective and a dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients.
